Members:  Webinars are free and a certificate of attendance as well as ICC CEU's will be provided at no charge, upon request.  You can also access a library of webinars at no cost.Non-Members:  Some webinars are free and others are available at a small fee.  Certificates of attendance and/or ICC CEU's are available to non-members as well, but at a cost of $30. each.

Fire Safety Education During a Pandemic

How do you deliver Fire Safety training during a Pandemic? Montclair State and AliveTek partnered to educate students online, using a customized approach. During this session we will talk through the success and lessons learned during this Fall 2020. We'll show you the course set up so you can see how you might want to do this for upcoming semesters. John Keane and Robert Ferrara from Montclair State will offer their insights as we review the data and experience.
Our Presenters:
Sandy Mills-Alford is an eLearning consultant and implementation specialist. As the CEO of AliveTek, Inc. she leads a team of web developers and instructional designers who help universities and corporations  distribute and measure online learning.AliveTek, Inc. is known for the creation of highly innovative and  interactive e-learning environments and for specializing in the custom development of learning experiences. Prevent.Zone, by AliveTek,  delivers Interactive awareness and prevention courses to over  300,000  students across North America.
John Keane is a Fire Safety Specialist at Montclair State University and is also a Firefighter/Training Officer at Lyndhurst Fire Department. Formerly Lieutenant & Captain at Lyndhurst Fire Department, John
earned his Bachelor of Science from NJCU in Fire Science/National Security (Cum Laude). John is  presently enrolled in the Master of Arts in Law & Governance program at Montclair State University.
Robert (Bob) Ferrara is the Director of Fire Safety for Montclair State University, responsible for all aspects of life safety throughout the University. This includes fire and life safety inspections of campus buildings to ensure compliance with fire and life safety codes, as well as reviewing plans for construction and  renovation projects. Preventive activities include fire prevention training for University personnel, conducting fire and evacuation drills, testing and inspections of building life safety systems. He provides educational programs, evaluating materials, and establishing guidelines for fire safe materials.  Chief Ferrara is also a Director of the Center for Campus Fire Safety.
